What a brilliant morning of doggy madness we all had on Saturday. There were 13 dogs and 17 humans who all enjoyed a trundle through the Forest, finishing the walk off at the Drift Inn pub who couldn’t be more helpful and accommodating. There were big smiles all round and waggy tails as everyone left with a prize, thanks to our generous sponsors. We managed to raise a brilliant £126, which will be doubled thanks to Regency Facades, bringing it up to £252! We are so pleased to have helped even just a little bit. At Regency Facades have made it our personal mission to raise money for two charities a year, 1 local to us and the other is usually Macmillan, or a similar large charity. This year, we’re raising as much as we possibly can for a small local charity called Hairy Hounz based in Southampton. This wonderful charity does an incredible job and work incredibly hard to save abandoned/unwanted dogs and ensure they have the loving future that they truly deserve. With the cost of living rising, rescues are seeing a lot more dogs (amongst other pets) abandoned and given up as people simply cannot afford to keep their beloved pets.
