Accelerating Cladding Remediation: How Regency Facades Stands Ready

The recent July 17, 2025 update to the Remediation Acceleration Plan (RAP) underscores the urgent national mission: remediate unsafe cladding swiftly, identify all buildings over 11 m at risk, and provide meaningful support to residents.

At Regency Facades, we are fully aligned with these objectives. We have a proven track record delivering meticulous remedial solutions; from complex rainscreen recladding to insulated wall panels, backed by deep in-house design expertise and a focus on resident safety.

Here’s how Regency plays a vital role in supporting the RAP’s three core goals:

Fix buildings faster

We offer end-to-end delivery: from pre-construction planning through installation and hand-over. Our in-house design team anticipates complexities up-front, smoothing the way for fast, high-quality delivery that keeps residents safe and disruptions minimal. With the government introducing a Legal Duty to Remediate and penalties for delayed works, trusted partners like us are essential to keep projects on track.

Two of the main advantages that set Regency Facades apart are our unmatched experience across every department of the business, and our fully in-house design capability. This depth of experience means we’ve likely encountered and resolved similar challenges before, enabling us to respond rapidly to technical queries or unexpected issues. Our ability to devise quick, effective solutions is a key factor in helping our clients meet urgent remediation timelines with confidence.

    Identify unsafe buildings

The RAP reveals that the estimated number of 11 m+ residential buildings still needing remediation has fallen from 4,000–7,000 to just 500–3,400. That shift follows a national drive reviewing Ordnance Survey records, enhanced local collaboration, and the rollout of the National Remediation System. As the RAP emphasises, swift identification matters, because only identified buildings can be fixed.

    Support residents throughout

We understand that remediation isn’t just a technical challenge, it’s a human one. Our approach is guided by the principles of the Code of Practice for Remediation of Residential Buildings. We ensure residents feel informed, respected and secure before, during, and after works. We align our processes with enhanced protections, including leaseholder safeguards, support for shared owners, and the phasing out of costly interim measures like waking watches.

On top of this, Regency Facades has been shortlisted for the Façade Awards UK 2025, for our work on the AFC Bournemouth Training Facility. This recognition reflects our commitment to remedial excellence while balancing aesthetics, safety and functionality.

Remediation remains one of the greatest challenges in our built environment. At Regency Facades, we are ready – not just to respond, but to lead. Please connect with us if you’d like to explore how we can secure your buildings and support your residents, faster and with certainty.
